How the film was received-

There were conflicting debates over this film based on their class and political view points.
Some argued over the quality of this piece as to weather or not the film was a good representation of the benefit system.
Despite starting debates, the film was nominated for several awards and won many of them.

How the film was funded-

The film was partly funded by BBC Films but was also funded by the public. this caused uproar as to why we were being made to pay for this film, causing hatred towards the film  before it was even published.

The background of the film- 

The film was focused on the ideas of Jeramy Corbyn in the way that he believes that all working class people should be able to receive benefits when they're struggling. 
The film was made to be relatable to the general public and make middle class viewers see how hard it is to be a single parent or an unemployed person because they are not getting the help they need.

Political views of the film-

The film shows an older man trying to fight the government after they have said he will not receive benefits after having a heart attack and being unable to work.
His left wing ideas have been shown throughout the film and pokes fun at the right wing political parties in our government.

Film production and distribution-

The film was made in October 2015 in Newcastle.
The marketing behind the film started with a hashtag on twitter and created social media accounts on twitter and Facebook.
They took a traditional approach to the marketing when they created a trailer and movie posters for the film. 


Regulation of the film-

The BBFC were given the task of regulating films and giving them an age certification.
the film was first shown on the 13th of may 2016 in France.
The film was given a 15 certification due to it's use of strong language and references to sex.

The director of the film-

He was born in 1936 and has been active in the film world since 1962.
His views are of a left wing nature, as is displayed in the film.
He has been able to push his left wing ideas from early on in his work in the TV series 'Cathy come home'.

Zoella continuously tells us how she 'feels' about the problems she faces. Zoella foregrounds stereotypical female based activities in her presentation: fashion, make-up, relationships. Costume stereotypically feminine- feminine colour palette deployed in mise-en-scene use of pets and pet orientated references (stereotypical little dog). How far are the representations constructed in the set texts of Zoella and Attitude stereotypical? -Underline key terms -Define key terms Stereotypes- A construction of ideas surrounding a person or a group that has been widely accepted by society. these are created when knowledge is lacking or unattainable and the substitution of thoughts and opinions is implemented.  This often leads to misjudgement and unfair discrimination towards certain groups. (Stuart Hall) In media products, they have the potential to impact the mindset of audiences, often sustaining perpetuating and creating stereotypes. Media products portray the unspoken norms of an ideology. Such products appeal to the widest audience- intellectually and globally.  LGBTQ+ stereotypes The representation of the LGBT community is often narrow and stereotypical Gay men are often represented as camp, effeminate, theatrical or flamboyant, functioning as visible Markers of differences in relation to heter
