The impact of this is on the young girls is that they believe that they need to look like the girls in this music video in terms of bdy type as well as the way they act. This means that the teenage girls will feel that they need to dress explicitly and have their bodies sexualised.
The video was fast paced and had a lot of cuts that matched the beat of the music. aAl of the people in the music video were women of colour. The women were all curvey and their bodies have bene sexualised for the purpose of the music video relating to the lyrics. I think the way that the women are being represented in the video is impowering rather than demeaning because the video shows all sorts of body types and the women celebrating their bodies. Most of the shots were close ups and mainly focused of their bums.

The video was very intence and aggressive, talking about guns, shooting and killing people like the police. The video also used a lot of explicite imagery and language. The video used mainly close up shots to show large crowds that have been put together to represent gangs. at the begining of the video, the cuts made from each scene to another is slow. As well as this, the scenes have been shown in slow motion at the start of the video. After about 30 seconds of the video we see an increase in the speed of the cuts as well as the scenes themselves.

How can we make contrasts and comparisons between That B.E.A.T and Formation?
Both videos are trying to encode idea about the treatment of black people and the community surrounding them. They have a lot of the sameshots, many of the shots used in That B.E.A.T were used in the music video for Formation. The documentry for That B.E.A.T suggests that everyone can dance to bounce music. This make it enclusive to people of all gender, sexualy orentation, class, age and race. In contrast to this, Formation is more aggresivly focused on the treatment of black people. While Beyonce has used some of the basic themes from the documentry, such as the way that they dance, Formation fails to enclude their ideology of togetherness and community, making it fall short of the true representation of this genre.

Hyperreality- Hyperreality, in semiotics and postmodernism, is an inability of consciousness to distinguish reality from a simulation of reality, especially in technologically advanced postmodern societies.
Some of thes representations are simualcrum. This refers to the representation of something that no longer exists or something that never existed.
